Our client, an established, well-respected high end internetwork consulting firm, is continuing to build business at an impressive rate within the MD/DC/NoVA area, and is seeking an additional CCIE or CCIE level architect to add to their already impressive team.

The challenge:
You will be the project lead for a large government agency where they are doing multiple roll outs, including a voice roll out. You would be the primary customer-facing person, and will act as the technical adviser to the customer. There are 2 other full time client engineers there and they will have a VoIP team that engages on an as needed basis as well. This position would be a team lead for the full time engineers, but will not act as a direct manager. This is a very neat opportunity to bring a large client into the 21st century and will include exposures to Data Center, virtualization, VoIP and general IP Networking.

To be considered you should have:
• 10 years IP networking experience • Strong design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with mid and large enterprise design / implementation efforts under your belt
• CCIE or CCIE level depth of understanding
• Prior team leadership, project management and customer facing experience
• Customer centric mentality
• Collegial collaborative approach towards your team. Willing to build experience set of those around you, while expecting the same.
• This is a government client, so you MUST have the ability to work on a government site (no employment visa sponsorships, unfortunately)

Wish List:
• Additional experience with network design (from conception through implementation, including large-scale routing protocol upgrades and network migrations
• Experience with Network Security Firewalls, Intrusion detection, incident response and escalation, security policy articulation and compliance checking
• Experience with Cisco IPT / VoIP design and deployment
• Network performance evaluation and optimization
• Infrastructure Project Management

This position will be on the client site in downtown DC, near Union Station. Other client engagements might require regional (DC/MD/VA) travel along with occasional out of region travel (less than 30%). When not engaged on client site, or in training, you will work out of a home office. The client has a mix of Commercial and Federal accounts, so no one requiring an employment visa sponsorship will be considered.
